Capital Campaign
ASHBB has a wonderful opportunity to expand our programs and services by relocating to a larger warehouse. With ample freezer and storage space we can meet our long-range goals - broaden our food distribution and feed more individuals and families who turn to us in their time of need.
We cannont accomplish these goals without the generous support of our community. With your support, we will be able to purchase and renovate a 30,000 square foot warehouse. What does this mean for our operations? We will double the size of our facility, thus greatly increasing the amount of food we distribute to our hungry neighbors. With a larger freezer and refrigeration space, we can deliver more fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and meat to those most in need in our service area. We can distribute an additional 2 million pounds of food every year - that's over 150,000 more meals every year for seniors, children, and families.
Our goal is to raise $750,000 to purchase and renovate this facility. Purchasing this facility will allow us to:
- Increase storage space by 50% for non-perishable items, including a dedicated space for disaster response items
- Increase office space, allowing us to hold our meetings, trainings, and presentations on-site
- Increase cooler and freezer space by 300%, enabling us to obtain and distribute more fruits, vegetables, staples, dairy and meat

With a minimum $500 donation, you not only make a gift to America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend, you also create a lasting memory for you, your family, friend or loved one. Your support of our Campaign in the form of a brick will be a permanent reminder of your partnership and involvement in the fight against hunger. The decorative bricks will be placed outside the main entrance to our office.
