Getting Started

Thank you for your interest in joining the fight against hunger!

                                                                     

What are the requirements to become a partner agency?

  • Have a temperature controlled facility with a locked room or closet to store food on shelves
  • Maintain, at a minimum, quarterly pest control from a licensed professional
  • Have a pantry open to the public a minimum of once per month
  • Attend Agency Orientation Training (held every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 9:00am-12:00pm) SIGN UP HERE . June orientation will be held June 5th.
  • Adhere to Civil Rights and Food Safety protocol
  • Sign the Partner Agency Agreement
  • Must have a working computer with internet access and staff/volunteers with computer experience
  • Must be 501C(3) or complete a Church Qualifier Form                                                                                                                                                   

What is the application process?

  • Complete the online application APPLY HERE
  • Applications are reviewed bi-weekly, you will be notified of your application status following the decision
  • Attend a required Orientation Training (held every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 9:00am-12:00pm) SIGN UP HERE
  • Submit $50 enrollment fee
  • Allow a pre-operational monitoring visit

What is required to maintain a partnership?

  • Annual membership fee of $50.00
  • Sign an Annual Partner Agency Agreement
  • Attendance at the 1 day annual training conference in Tallahassee (usually held in April)
  • Submission of monthly statistics
  • Food bank activity at least every 3 months
  • No past due balance over 30 days
  • Monitoring visits every 2 years (every year if USDA partner agency)
