Our History

Established in 1982 as the Food Bank of Tallahassee, prepared and perishable food was all we distributed in the early years in what is called "food rescue". In 1986 we joined the Second Harvest network, enabling us to begin distribution of non-perishable food and grocery items as well. For 24 years, A2HBB has been faithful to its mission of providing food to hungry men, women and children in first Leon county then Gadsden, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla, Franklin, Liberty, Jefferson, Bay, Jackson, Holmes, Washington, Gulf, and Calhoun Counties. Our main warehouse is in Tallahassee, with a branch warehouse in Madison County, Florida.
